Taiwan Trip #2 - 2013: Family Meals

It's been 2 weeks since I was in Taiwan... sorry for the late posts but get ready for TONS of food pictures!!

I went to Taipei for the 2nd time this year. It was a last minute trip for a family emergency so it wasn't for the funnest reason, but it was nice to see all my relatives. There were about 20 of us all together in Taipei. It was great to see everyone. And when family gets together... what do we do? We eat!!

Here are some big family meals we had. 2 large banquet sized round tables and 10+ courses each meal. Whoa! O.O

Fried Pumpkin. This was amazing. It had some sort of duck yolk crumble over it which added a saltiness and richness to the tender, sweet pumpkin inside.

Peking Duck. Awesome. But they served it too late! We were all full by the time it came out. That didn't stop us though! haha.

These long banquet style meals are so dangerous. Everything is so good, but you get full by the 5th course. But you don't want to stop because you still want to eat everything that comes out after. XP My cousins and I were all saying that none of us knew what hunger felt like the entire time in Taipei.
